This summer, 100 children and over 50 volunteers at St. Bruno Parish in Bruno, SK, had a blast learning about the Church year during a week-long Vacation Bible School (VBS) July 28-Aug.1.

Designed to bring the Catholic faith to life, this five-day journey took participants through the liturgical seasons—Advent, Christmas, Ordinary Time, Lent, and Easter—helping children understand the life of Christ and deepen their relationship with Him.

Each morning started with an opening assembly, before the children rotated through five main stations: faith, music, games, craft, and snack. Each station provided a unique way to learn about the theme of the day.

Snack time was one of the daily activities featured during the Vacation Bible School (VBS) at St. Bruno Parish. (Submitted photo)

The Great Journey With Jesus VBS — released in January 2025 by Cat.Chat for parishes across Canada and the USA — helped children in Bruno encounter Jesus and discover the exciting cycle of the liturgical seasons, while uniting the parish community.
