The Called and Gifted™ Discernment Process from the Catherine of Siena Institute is designed to help Christians discern the presence of charisms (God’s gifts) in their lives, and to determine how they are being called to use those gifts to build up God’s kingdom. Leaders from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon will introduce the process to Catholic communities in the Philippines during a January 2025 mission trip.
“Jesus who is the Word of God made flesh among us – is the inspiration and source of all hope. This awareness has been the inspiration for the upcoming Jubilee Year, as we seek to be teachers and patterns of hope …for each other… and for the world.” – Bishop Mark Hagemoen, Christmas Message 2024

A diocesan mission trip to the Philippines this January shares in the Jubilee Year theme “Pilgrims of Hope.”
Over the years the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon has hosted several workshops within the diocese and beyond. This year, we are blessed to bring the Called and Gifted discernment process to the Philippines.
As we prepare to embark on this journey, beginning Jan. 13, 2025, we humbly ask for your prayers.
Please pray for the success of our mission and for those we will serve, as the team also holds our diocese in prayer.
We look forward to returning with cherished memories to share about this experience of sharing the Called and Gifted discernment process in another country.
We are deeply grateful to the Diocese of Saskatoon Catholic Foundation, Holy Family Cathedral Simbang Gabi Committee, the Filipino community, and to everyone who contributed generously to help us sponsor participants for the Called and Gifted discernment process.
Without your prayers and constant support our mission to evangelize wouldn’t be possible. Together we can be “Patterns of Hope … for each other … and for the world.”
