St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon has a new Executive Director — Carrie Dornstauder — effective Jan. 20, 2025.
Dornstauder is a registered nurse with over 25 years of experience in healthcare, and nearly two decades of
leadership experience. She has most recently served as the Executive Director of Maternal and Children’s
Provincial Programs for the Saskatchewan Health Authority, where she led the delivery of over 50 programs.
She has also given her time to volunteer roles in the community, and currently serves on several boards, including the Saskatchewan Nursing Leaders Network.
“Emmanuel Health is excited to have Carrie Dornstauder joining our team,” says Corey Miller, President and
CEO of Emmanuel Health, “Carrie will be an excellent fit to build on the strong foundation that previous
leadership in Catholic Health have started here at St. Paul’s Hospital.”
Dornstauder said she is honoured to be joining the Emmanuel Health Team, expressing that she is not only “excited for the opportunity to serve the mission of Catholic Health” but also “eager to learn from the St. Paul’s team, the community of Pleasant Hill and the many partners who play an important role in improving access to the health care services of a young and vital community.”
St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation also welcomes Dornstauder to the St. Paul’s Hospital family. In addition to her experience as a visionary in health care, “Carrie brings an invaluable passion for and commitment
to serving the needs of the vulnerable. We look forward to advancing innovative, holistic care alongside Carrie and her team” says Lecina Hicke, CEO of St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation.
Dornstauder replaces outgoing Executive Director Tracy Muggli, who was recently appointed to the Senate of Canada. St. Paul’s Hospital and its Foundation has expressed gratitude to Muggli for her dedication and service during her tenure as Executive Director of St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon.
