Clergy Sports Day is a time of appreciation for the priests here in Saskatchewan, when they are relieved from the stress of their huge responsibilities to their parish and community. It is only a short time for them to enjoy, but hopefully the moments shared together provide them with inspiration to fulfill their mission.

Faith motivates all priests but they also need more care, and more love, as they live their lives alone, often far from their own family.

The Knights of Columbus across Saskatchewan support all priests, their parishes, and community.

Thanks to Clergy Sports Day Chair Mike Bzdell and Past State Deputy Brian Schatz who take care of the registration and oversee the whole event, and to Fr. Demetrius Wasylyniuk, OSB, and the other Benedictine Monks who hosted the event at the Abbey, as well as to their kitchen staff. Thanks also to Deacon Norbert Gaudet who managed the soccer, District Deputy Ron Klien who was in charge of ladder golf, David Harder who took care of horseshoe toss, Eugene Achtemichuk and Paul Ponak who managed the volleyball and basketball, as well as to State Associate Chaplain Fr. Warren Dungen representing the State Chaplains, State Secretary Greg Dozorec and Immediate Past State Deputy Larry Packet for their support.

Thanks as well to all the priests who came out to enjoy the event.
