Praying and singing, participants in an evening candle-light prayer celebration followed the Holy Eucharist in procession Oct. 1, walking from Saskatoon’s St. Paul Co-Cathedral around 5th Avenue to Spadina Crescent.
Organized by the Santo Niño Prayer Group, the evening began with celebration of Mass by Fr. Stefano Penna, rector and pastor at St. Paul Co-Cathedral. The congregation than moved into the street, led by the statue of Our Lady of the Rosary, another of the Child Jesus (Santo Niño de Cebú), and Fr. Penna carrying the Holy Eucharist.
