The Filipino Catholic Community of Saskatoon organized an Our Lady of the Rosary celebration Oct. 3 at the Cathedral of the Holy Family that included a candlelight procession through the streets of Saskatoon.
Fr. Stefano Penna, pastor and rector of the downtown cathedral celebrated Mass to begin the Saturday event, before carrying the Blessed Sacrament out of the church, leading the procession of people of all ages praying the Rosary and singing Marian hymns.
The Sto Nino Filipino Catholic Community of Saskatoon hosted a social gathering in the cathedral’s Bishop Mahoney Hall after the procession.
