[Canadian Catholic News] – Citing the words of Jesus from Matthew 4:19-20, the Canadian pro-life movement is taking “Follow Me” as its theme for the 2026 National March for Life.
Campaign Life Coalition announced the theme for the annual march Feb. 5, saying these are words that changed history.
“And He said to them, ‘Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.’ Immediately they left their nets and followed Him,” reads the Scripture passage.
In its announcement, Campaign Life said “the pro-life movement is not just trying to save lives but souls too.” So Follow Me invites “every new mom and dad to undertake a journey from womb to tomb,” as every child bears the image of Jesus and “becomes a signpost pointing us back to the Source of Life.”
This year’s March for Life will take place May 14 on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and at various provincial legislatures throughout Canada.
In Saskatchewan, the provincial March for Life to the Legislative Building in Regina will be held on May 7; find information at: www.saskprolife.com.
