The impact of the Search retreat on high school students in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon continued Feb. 21-23, with another weekend of spiritual nourishment held at ED Feehan Catholic High School.

Search is facilitated by young adults, and supported by youth ministry leaders, with the help of volunteers.

The Search weekend is a “Search for Christian maturity” focused on the saving love of God, and offering inspiration and challenge for continuing the journey beyond a single “mountain-top” experience. Some 25 participants took part in the retreat at the conclusion of the February school break.

Fr. Joe-Nelo Penino, associate pastor at the Cathedral of the Holy Family, presided at the closing Mass, where parents and family members joined youth and the extended Search team.

Before Mass, Search participants were presented with a lighted candle and a hand-made Search cross, rich with symbolism about the Christian journey.

The next Search retreat will be held in November, 2025.
