Life Chain, the annual sidewalk pro-life gathering, is set to take place next weekend across Canada, including in Saskatoon, Humboldt, and Unity, SK, in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon.
Life Chain is held at over 320 locations in Canada and this year is on Sunday, Oct. 6, from 2-3 p.m. in most locations.
Participants are encouraged to silently pray for an end to abortion, while holding provided signs with messages that include: “Abortion kills children,” “Abortion hurts women,” “Adoption, the loving option,” and “Life, the first inalienable right.”
The public witness in Saskatoon will again be held on the corner of Idylwyld Drive and 22nd Street. In Humboldt, Life Chain will be held in the Civic Park on the corner of Highway 5 and Main Street. In Unity, the event will be held at the corner of Highway 21 and 1st Avenue East.
Signs are provided, and participants are asked to abide by the Life Chain Code of Conduct, which includes arriving promptly; not blocking pedestrians, driveways, or driver sight-lines; and committing to being peaceful and law-abiding.
