On behalf of the Board of Directors and Staff of the Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools Foundation, our Wishes for a very Merry Christmas. May it be full of Peace and Joy. – Laurie Karwacki – Chair
Advent is the liturgical season that precedes and prepares us for Christmas. It is a season of hope and of longing, of joyful expectation, and of peaceful preparation. Many symbols and traditions are associated with Advent, especially the Advent Wreath with its four coloured candles (three purple and one pink). Staff and students at our Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools are busy preparing their hearts for the birth of Jesus by participating in Advent masses, liturgies, Advent concerts, and drama productions.
Christmas Generosity
Precision Electro-Mechanical Ltd. of Saskatoon, owners Marc and Marianne Taillon, have had an on-going employee-matching program in place since 2009. The funds raised go toward the purchase of Christmas Hampers for those most in need. This is the second year of their partnership with Prairie Meats’ owners Gene and Adele Dupuis who will provide the quality products to fill the hampers. The Foundation is very pleased to help facilitate this generosity.
