25th anniversary of priesthood celebrated

A celebration was held May 24 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Martensville, SK to mark the 25th anniversary of ordination of pastor Fr. Peter Ebidero.

Originally from the Diocese of Kano in Nigeria, Fr. Peter was ordained on July 2, 1994. He came to the diocese of Saskatoon in 2016, and has served as pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Martensville and St. Mark Parish in Langham, SK, since his arrival in the diocese.

Other milestone anniversaries for priests in our diocese this year include:

65th anniversary: Msgr Stanley Urbanoski, June 19; Fr. Lester Kaufmann, OMI, Oct. 7

55th anniversary: Fr. Richard Doll, OMI, Feb. 8

45th anniversary: Fr. Michel Bedard, June 28

30th anniversary: Fr. Joseph Thazhathemuriyil, VC, Dec. 28

25th anniversary: Fr. Peter Ebidero and Fr. Joseph Salihu, July 2

15th anniversary: Fr. Marvin Lishchynsky June 18; Fr. Habila Must July 10; Fr. Francis Akomeah Aug. 7; Fr. Clement Arthur Aug. 7; Fr. Binu Rathappillil, VC, Dec. 28

10th anniversary: Fr. John Abban-Bonsu, July 22.
