Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Saskatoon hosted a Sunday afternoon “Share the Journey” walk in solidarity with some 68.5 million across the globe who have been forced to flee their homes.

The walk began with prayer, and ended with prayer, and included five prayer stops between Holy Spirit Church and McClure United Church. At the conclusion of the walk participants gathered in the parish hall for a short video, connecting their experience to similar walks being held across the country and around the world.

Development and Peace / Caritas Canada has taken up the “Share the Journey” theme which was launched globally by Pope Francis through Cartias Internationalis in September 2017, as a global campaign to raise awareness and support for refugees and other forced migrants.
