[SASKATOON – May 3, 2019] – After 10 years as Coordinator of Youth Ministry in the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon, Colm Leyne has accepted a full-time Youth Ministry Coordinator position in his home parish of St. Anne’s.

Over his years of service, Colm became well known as a gifted presenter, who nurtured collaborative relationships with a range of partners, both within the diocese and beyond. His work has included working with parishes across the diocese, and the coordination of a range of diocesan events to engage youth and young adults, including rallies, prayer events, and revitalization of Search retreats in the diocese of Saskatoon. He also originated many popular “Bishop’s Cup” basketball tournaments between clergy and youth.

“While I am sad to be moving on from my work as the Diocesan Youth Ministry Coordinator, a ministry and office in which I have served for the last ten years, I cannot help but be overwhelmingly excited to answer God’s call to return to parish ministry,”  Colm said in making the announcement. “Saint Anne’s has become a home and extension of the family for us, so it feels appropriate to now be given the opportunity to serve faithfully the youth and families of this community in the area of my greatest passion.”

Colm and his wife Sharon are parents of Jacinta and Ezra, and a younger sibling expected in December.
