[SASKATOON – April 25, 2019] – Through the  generosity and commitment of donors, coupled with effective stewardship of investments, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation (SPHF) raised $8,219,236 in support of St. Paul’s Hospital and the Close to Home Campaign for Hospice and End-of-Life Care in 2018.

The funds support the purchase of urgently-needed medical equipment, patient comfort care items, staff professional development, and holistic care at St. Paul’s Hospital, as well as the building of Saskatoon’s first hospice and improving end-of-life care in our community.

St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation held its Annual General Meeting April 25, 2019, taking time to acknowledge everyone for gifts of time and resources. “Thank you to all of the community groups, organizations, individuals and volunteers who give so generously,” said Foundation Chair Chris Boychuk. “With your contributions we are able to continue providing vital resources that benefit health and compassionate care in our community and our province.”

At the event, the Foundation reported on a few noteworthy funding allocations including:

  • $919,004 for Pyxis Automated Pharmacy Dispensing System
  • $559,030 for Ear Nose and Throat Ambulatory Clinic Equipment, and
