[SASKATOON] – During a Lenten faith conference March 29-30 in Saskatoon, some 250 men were challenged and inspired by speakers Brett Powell and Ken Yasinski to actively take up their relationship with Jesus Christ and live as men of faith, integrity and action in the world.
“Into the Breach” was the theme of the men’s faith enrichment event organized by the Knights of Columbus Denis Mahoney Council 8215. The challenging theme was taken from an apostolic exhortation to Catholic men written by Bishop Thomas J. Olmstead of the Diocese of Phoenix: Into the Breach.
The conference also included a prayerful opening presentation by Saskatchewan Knights of Columbus State Chaplain Bishop Bryan Bayda of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saskatoon. And Bishop Mark Hagemoen of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Saskatoon delivered the homily at the closing Mass for the event held at the Cathedral of the Holy Family: Text of Homily.
